VEA Martial Arts Academy Signature Events
VEA Collaborative Cross Shares:
These events will be held once every other month or every couple of months. The purpose of these events is to cross train and share with other good spirited martial artists who wish to propagate their own art and who have a passion for teaching and sharing. While rank may be worn by each teaching instructor during their teaching session it is highly encouraged that rank is set aside when they are cross training under a different instructor. It’s an opportunity for new martial and season martial artists to feel the euphoria of being a white belt once again. The events will typically be held on Sunday’s and will be approximately 3hrs in duration with no more than 3 instructors teaching at one time. These events will also be for the primary purpose of fundraising for the VEA Cheer Academy. If you wish to be a guest instructor at one of our cross-training shares and are of good spirit, please contact Maestro Mike Cardenas for more information.
The VEA Crucible (New Event/Idea):
The VEA crucible event is another form of networking and opportunity for the sharing of ideas. During this event a scenario will be chosen for which each instructor will share their response for dealing with this threat, subsequent instructors will either add to what was shown or show their response for dealing with the threat. These are great events for beginning and seasoned martial artists to observe the many similarities of our individual systems. It’s also an opportunity for seasoned instructors to showcase their Jr. Instructors. These events will have no more than 6-7 instructors at one time and will typically be held on a Saturday at a frequency of 2-3 times per year. If you wish to be a guest instructor at one of our cross-training shares, please contact Maestro Mike Cardenas for more information. All martial artists and instructors are welcome at the VEA Martial Arts Academy so long as they are of good spirit.
VEA Martial Arts Collaborative (VEA MAC):
This event will be the largest of our signature events where martial artists of a variety of styles come from all over to congregate and “sharpen their swords” in training and in friendship. The fellowship/collaborative motto; “exacuere gladium” -sharpen the sword. This event will provide yet another opportunity for networking and for the sharing of ideas, it will be very similar to the large cross training event that the VEA Martial Arts Academy had hosted over the past 5 years. The fellowship event will have no more than 8 instructors and will be arranged to ensure that all participants who attend the event will be able to get floor time with each instructor who will be teaching at the event. The purpose of these events is to cross train and share with other good spirited martial artists who wish to propagate their own art and who have a passion for teaching and sharing. It is also an opportunity for visiting instructors to promote their upcoming events. These events will be typically held on a Saturday at a frequency of 1-3 times per year, if you wish to be an instructor at one of our VEA Fellowship events and are of good spirit, please contact Maestro Mike Cardenas for more information.
The VEA Martial Arts Academy is now able too and is willing to host martial art events for other organizations, for organization of good character and spirit and who are seeking to better the entire martial arts community. Contact Maestro Mike Cardenas for details if interested.
